One stubborn Camaro and a Sunday deadline

In Under My Step-Sister’s Hood, the car is only the excuse. Three days before a car show, his new stepsister Mona brings her boyfriend’s ’69 Camaro to his garage, where three other shops have already failed. He sorts it out in ten minutes, which is when the real negotiation begins.

Sunday is departure day for the car, and for her. Before then, Mona wants something more than a repair, and she asks whether it matters that they are step-relatives at all.

The engine of the plot is the phone. Her boyfriend keeps calling to ask whether his car is all right, and each call raises the risk of being found out. Fresh on Candy Shorts, it runs five episodes.

Episode by episode

  1. Mona turns up at his garage calling him step-bro and says their mother told her he can fix anything for family. Her boyfriend rings to ask where she is; she says she is at her stepbrother’s garage, and he warns her not to let some backyard mechanic near his carburetor. She hints at what else those hands are good at, and they agree to meet again in the morning for some work on the inside.
  2. Mona scolds him for being late and points out that her boyfriend never lets anyone near the car’s interior. When the boyfriend phones to ask whether it is fixed yet, the mechanic says it is running smoothly while she goes on checking the interior. She tells him to say it is not ready, then to finish what she started.

From episode 3 on, every episode costs tokens.

Mona, the mechanic and a boyfriend who only calls

Mona Newman is a fictional AI character who recurs across Candy Shorts, and the cast list stops with her. No star, no digital twin, and nobody filmed the series.

The mechanic is the viewer’s stand-in, a gifted fixer with a reputation. Brody, the boyfriend who owns the Camaro, is heard only through his calls. Mona and the mechanic are step-relatives through a family marriage, and both are adults. Everything here is invented and built with AI tools.

Starring: Mona Newman.
