Under the Boss: first day, wrong crowd, right boss
Under the Boss opens on a new hire’s first day at a London company. Harriet is a shy temp who assumes everyone around her is sharper and more polished, and that the boss, strikingly good-looking, will never glance twice.
He does more than glance. Within minutes he is brushing aside the onboarding schedule to give her the tour himself. His personal assistant, a jealous blonde used to being indispensable, has other plans for the week, among them a Thursday dinner reservation she meant to share with him.
The Candy synopsis says the boss grows obsessed fast, and the assistant will do anything to wreck their forbidden fling. Across five episodes it plays like an office comedy, all awkward banter and sidelong looks.
Episode by episode
- The boss’s assistant fusses over his diary and hints at a Thursday dinner for two, but he is distracted by the new temp. Harriet, flustered, fumbles a compliment about the company, and he tells her he liked her first answer better. He waves away the paperwork and offers to show her around himself.
- The assistant and a colleague swap nervous gossip about the pair, while the boss hands Harriet some company clothing to try on. She lets a swear word slip on her first day, and he replies that both the outfit and the language suit her.
