A groom who cannot attend his own wedding prep
Kiss the Bride, Stepbro on Candy Shorts opens with an absent groom. The bride is Ava, and her fiancé Brad cannot spare a minute for the planning. So grown stepbrother Leo is drafted, and for the day he is the groom.
It starts as a rehearsal. He practices the vows, she adjusts where a groom should stand, and everyone calls it a harmless favor. By the end, his duties stretch from the vows through the kiss and the dress to the wedding night.
The pull is a mock wedding that feels less mock with every task he inherits.
Episode by episode
- A woman waves her stepbrother inside and announces that today he replaces her fiancé, since Brad is busy. They rehearse the vows while she corrects how a groom should stand and listen. When Brad calls, she says she has found a stand-in, and the episode ends with the two agreeing to see how far it goes.
- She changes into an outfit for the after-party and asks him to help adjust it. The rehearsal then circles back to the line about kissing the bride. Someone asks whether Ava is upstairs, and the episode closes on a whispered plan to skip ahead to the wedding night.
From episode 3 on, every episode costs tokens.
