Not Under My Roof

A canceled party and the offer that replaces it

The story opens with a public refusal. Before the entire family, his future mother-in-law kills the bachelor party plan: not under her roof, and certainly not in wedding week. He decides she cannot stand him.

Then the house goes quiet. His fiancée heads upstairs for a nap after too many mimosas at brunch, and the mother-in-law, played by Antonella Larrea on the cast line, calls him aside. A party would get talked about, she explains, but this can stay in the family, as long as everyone keeps it quiet.

The synopsis calls her offer a private gift, and it comes with company. Two friends of hers come in by the back door, and the groom’s wedding week becomes far more tangled than any canceled party could have made it.

Antonella Larrea and the wedding party

The groom-to-be is the viewpoint character, and his fiancée spends most of the story asleep upstairs. The mother-in-law runs the show, and her two friends include Bianca, the fiancée’s godmother. All of these characters are adults, the fiancée too.

Antonella Larrea is the one credited name. No digital twin is attached to this series, and all the characters and events are fictional. If you like a household full of in-laws, the stepmom series collection has more.
