Tori's Broken Vows

Tori’s Broken Vows: the wedding guest who should have stayed away

Tori is almost ready on her wedding morning when David walks in. In Tori’s Broken Vows he tells the groom he is an old friend, then asks the bridesmaids for a minute alone with the bride. The whole series grows out of that minute.

Tori drops the act. She admits she loves David, admits she does not love the man waiting at the altar, and says the money is the reason she is going through with it. David asks for a final kiss and gets it. By episode 2 they have crossed the line, and the ceremony has not even begun.

Candy’s synopsis sums it up as one reckless moment in her wedding dress that turns into a secret, continuing affair, with the new husband on the sidelines, none the wiser. A mysterious blonde woman appears later in the run.

The bride, the ex and a groom who sees nothing

The cast list is empty, so no real performer’s likeness is behind anyone here. Tori, David and the groom are invented figures in an AI-made story, and all three are adults.

Tori is pragmatic and unashamed; she has decided that security outweighs the person she actually wants. David is the old flame who refuses to let her walk down the aisle without one more conversation. The groom, proud and cheerful, is the only person in the building who never catches on. Her friends act as loyal gatekeepers, wary of the stranger at the door.
