Forty minutes in a car, and a favor that outlasts the ride

My Girlfriend’s Mom Needs A Ride begins as a small favor. His girlfriend Kayla asks him to drive her mother, Diana, home from work, since Diana’s car has been stuck at the garage all week, and she badly needs lifts. The drive takes forty minutes, and in that time the banter turns from polite to pointed.

The Candy synopsis makes sure it does not stop at her front door. What follows is a double life: texts from the girlfriend, a pickup at the office the next day and a request to keep the arrangement from Kayla. Five episodes carry it.

Episode by episode

  1. The narrator drives Kayla’s mother home, a forty-minute ride full of teasing about where he keeps looking. Kayla texts to find out if her mom is monopolizing the conversation, and Diana replies on his behalf that he is a very good listener. At the end Diana mentions that her car will be in the shop until next week, asks for a pickup from work tomorrow and tells him not to mention it to Kayla.
  2. At six the next evening Diana is waiting outside her office and asks him to leave the engine running. They talk about how busy Kayla is, and Kayla calls right then to say she is working late. When he asks about her husband, Diana says he does not matter if the answer is yes, and the episode ends with an invitation to come inside.

From episode 3 on, every episode costs tokens.

Diana, Kayla and the man behind the wheel

Nothing about Diana Demont is real: she is a fictional AI character who returns across Candy Shorts, and she carries this story with a confident, teasing charm. Kayla is the girlfriend, mostly heard through texts and phone calls while she works late. The driver tells the story in the first person and is never named in the first two episodes.

Diana also has a husband, mentioned in episode 2 as someone who does not matter if the answer is yes. Everyone is an adult, and the cast is entirely AI-generated.

Starring: Diana Demont.
