Whatever Your Stepmom Says is a five-episode stepmom drama on Candy. A father heads off on a work trip and hands his new wife the keys. His instruction to his adult stepson is brief: whatever she says, you do. Ava is 22 and takes the order exactly as worded.
Her house rules arrive on day one. The phone stays in the kitchen, and he knocks before entering her room. Rule three is held back for later, the kind of promise that keeps you pressing play.
The drama sits in the gap between the father’s meaning and Ava’s hearing. He wanted a house run smoothly, but she decides obedience can cover far more than chores. The Candy blurb promises that she ends up wanting the stepson herself, and that he cannot say no.
Episode by episode
- Before leaving, the father tells his stepson that Ava is in charge and that he should do whatever she says. She reads out the rules about the phone and about knocking, keeps rule three to herself and asks him to spot her stretches, standing in for his father. Later he lingers at her bedroom door, and the episode ends on the sinking realization that she saw him.
- Ava confronts him about the door, and he insists it was an accident and that she is his father’s wife. She shrugs it off, says she liked it and finally reveals rule three. This time, she says, he is the one who watches, and he had better not look away.
From episode 3 on, every episode costs tokens.
Ava, her stepson and the missing father
Ava Parkson is a fictional AI character, with no digital twin of any real performer behind her. She is confident, amused and fond of calling her stepson “son” at the most pointed moments. He is the viewpoint character, caught between obeying and objecting, and an adult like her. The father shows up only at the start, to give the order that sets everything off. Everything on screen is fiction.
