My Girlfriend’s Mom Read My Texts is a five-part Candy Shorts drama about what happens when a private message stops being private. During a long holiday weekend at his girlfriend’s family lake house, Ethan forgets his phone on the kitchen island. Her mother, Jessie, picks it up and reads all 43 messages he sent his friends about her.

What follows is a power shift. Ethan wrote those messages believing only his friends would see them, and now Jessie holds every word. She does not scold him. Her demand is simple: prove that he meant each one.

The girlfriend, an adult too, is never far away, so every private moment carries a risk.

Jessie Hallam is a fictional AI character; no real performer filmed any of this, and no digital twin is involved. She is unhurried and in control, and she picks her moments. Ethan is the adult boyfriend who wrote the messages and now has to live with them. His girlfriend, Jessie’s adult daughter, comes and goes and calls in from elsewhere.
